KSM PROJECTS IN 2022

 

BP Scholven, Germany – the scope of KSM works contains the erection of 4 new gas fired steam boilers inside of BP refinery plant. All boilers are located in different refinery areas of Ruhr Oil Plant near of German Gelsenkirchen.

Stadtwerke Flensburg, Germany – Erection of steel construction, HRSG-Boiler incl. Internal and external piping, ducts and thermal insulation of boiler and components. The successful pressure test was in October 2021, and for now we are proceeding with the erection of all technological systems and insulation erection.

E-Wood, Belgium – erection of CFB-Boiler fired with biomass in Antwerp (Belgium) incl. External and internal piping, duct.

Chemical-Park Marl, Germany – different commissioning and repair works an many internal power plants and systems (boiler burners, technological piping systems and repair on running plant parts).

EFW Protos, UK – erection of 2 WtE boiler plants, containing the erection scope of complete 2 fuel feeding systems, grate firing, deslagging and deashing systems, air and flue gas ductings  and FGT system with bag filters.

SW Augsburg, Germany – exchange of existing firing system against new and more efficient system, with new air ventilator, air ducts, 4 burners incl. gas piping modifications and boiler equipment modification works.

SW Bonn, Germany – erection of new HRSG boiler with internal pipings, flue gas ductings and steel structure erection of new boiler house.

Heilbronn, Germany – erection of new heat exchanger  boiler system for biomass firing, with smoke tube drum.

Cowie, Scotland– exchange of existing boiler front wall in the furnace chamber.

 

Production of discharge electrodes:

 

January/March – production and delivery discharge electrodes as part of the project: “Modernization of the electrostatic precipitator of the CFB-100 boiler at Zakład Wytwarzania Katowice“.

April/June – production and delivery of internal components as part of the project: “Modernization of the electrostatic precipitator of the CFB-100 boiler at Zakład Wytwarzania Katowice”.

July – prefabrication of the support structure for the protective coat of the technological pipeline insulation.

August – production of steel structures and supports for the heating pipeline as part of the project: “Extension and Modernization of the Municipal Solid Waste Treatment Plant in Warsaw”.

August/September – assembly and repair works internal components as part of the project: “Modernization of the electrostatic precipitator of the CFB-100 boiler in Zakład Wytwarzania Katowice”.

November/December – production and delivery discharge electrodes as part of the project: “Modernization of electrostatic precipitators of the 858MW unit for PGE GiEK S.A. Branch Elektrownia Bełchatów”.

 

2021

Infraserv Wiesbaden, Germany – erection of HRSG boiler (pressure part) including the external piping systems and ducting for air and flue gas  – finished in march 2021

BP Scholven, Germany – the scope of KSM works contains the erection of 4 new gas fired steam boilers inside of BP refinery plant. All boilers are located in different refinery areas of Ruhr Oil Plant near of German Gelsenkirchen. Two boilers are already after successful pressure test and now during final works. On the other 2 boilers the works will be continued in 2022.  

PK Varel, Germany – erection of 1 steam boiler fired with natural gas based in paper and cartoon mill Varel – finished in June 2021.

The successful pressure test was in October 2021, and for now we are proceeding with the erection of all technological systems and insulation erection.

E-Wood, Belgium – erection of CFB-Boiler fired with biomass in Antwerp (Belgium) incl. External and internal piping, duct systems – the pressure test was successfully executed  in December 2021 .

The mechanical completion works will be currently executed.

Kraftwerk Mehrum, Germany – Power plant revision works on pressure part (exchange of membrane walls), technological pipelines in turbine hall (cooling water systems), water treatment plant (chemicals and repair of expansion tank) during main revision works in April 2021 for 750 MW power plant. Additionally the repair works on both rotary air preheaters was executed.

FCC Lincoln, United Kingdom – Exchange of furnace chamber membrane walls and exchange of economizer modules on waste to Energy plant for Lincolnshire

UPM Caledonian, United Kingdom – Exchange of partal furnace chamber membrane walls  and screen tubes above the separation wall incl. Inconel overlay cladding works. Additionally executed were repair works on LP steam pipe, safety valves and flue gas duct before bag filter unit on the biomass power plant at UPM Caledonian paper mill in Irvine (Scotland)

Blackburn Meadows, United Kingdom – repair works on economizer heating surfaces inside of WtE steam boiler

Londonderry (Derry), Northern Ireland – Exchange of economizer heating surfaces on steam boiler including the hanger tubes exchange on Lycra-Company plant.

 

Production of discharge electrodes 2021:

January / May – produced and delivery discharge electrodes (over 100 t) and suspension frames for the PGE GiEK Opole K4 power plant as part of the ESP Upgrade for units 1-4 for Compliance with BAT Conclusions programme.

March – produced and delivery discharge electrodes and suspension frames for the ZE PAK S.A. Power plant in Konin of power unit – K7.

April / August – produced and delivery 57 t discharge electrodes and over 40 t components of electrostatic precipitators for PGE EC Wrocław EF K1 and K3.

May – produced and delivery discharge electrodes (13 t) with suspension frames and over 12 t components of electrostatic precipitators for VEOLIA POZNAŃ of power unit no 1.

August / September – produced and delivery 28 t discharge electrodes and over 29 t components of electrostatic precipitators for HITACHI Z.A. Puławy.

October / November – produced 23 t discharge electrodes for foreign contractor (Niemcy). They were high-performance electrodes designed for high-temperature operation.

2020

Częstochowa Coking Plant (Poland) – This project involved all the work needed to install two complete gas boilers, including auxiliary equipment and a support structure.

The main part of the work was completed in 2020. In December, two metering orifices were mounted inside live steam pipelines in a boiler house and one such orifice in a process steam pipeline in a machine room. The project was successfully completed.

InfraServ, Wiesbaden (Germany) – We installed the pressure part of a waste heat boiler, with external piping and ducting inside a combined cycle unit.

The pressure test was carried out in December 2020.

K+S Kali, Unterbreizbach (Germany) – This project involved the installation of a steel structure, a gas-fired boiler with external and process piping as well as air and exhaust gas ducting. The work also included replacing a complete set of feedwater pumps and gas turbine ducting.

BP Scholven (Germany) – KSM Zeman is responsible for complete installation of four gas boilers on the premises of the Ruhr Oel refinery. We have so far installed economisers for boilers 1 and 4 and part of the ducting, and have done the initial installation work for the combustion chamber of one unit.

PK Varel (Germany) – This project involved complete installation of one natural gas fired steam boiler on the premises of a paper and cardboard factory in the town of Varel. The pressure test of the pressure system was carried out in November 2020.

UPM Caledonian (United Kingdom) – This project involved the replacement of part of the membrane walls of a boiler that were scheduled for replacement in 2020 based on thickness measurements of the pipe walls.

SWISS Krono Heiligengrabe (Germany)- KSM Zeman replaced steam heater coils in the EA1 power unit and hardfaced the membrane walls in the EA2 power unit. The work was carried out in September and October.

MVV Dundee (Scotland)- This project involved the installation of process pipelines (for steam, condensate and cooling water) as part of the construction of a power unit on the premises of a municipal waste processing plant.

 

Manufacture of corona discharge electrodes

• February/March 2020. KSM Zeman produced discharge electrodes for the PGE GiEK Opole K2 power plant as part of the ESP Upgrade for Units 1-4 for Compliance with BAT Conclusions programme.
• February/March 2020. KSM Zeman produced discharge electrodes, with the beams for collecting electrodes, for the Schwelgern SB4 facility in Germany.
• April 2020. KSM Zeman produced discharge electrodes for the OMV Schwechat refinery in Austria. They were high-performance electrodes designed for high-temperature operation (approx. 400 degrees centigrade).
• June/July 2020. KSM Zeman produced discharge electrodes and the inside equipment for an electrostatic precipitator for the PGE heat and power plant in Kraków as part of the ESP Upgrade for Unit K4 project.
• September/November 2020. KSM Zeman produced discharge, electrodes with the beams for collecting electrodes, for the PGE GiEK Opole K3 power plant as part of the ESP Upgrade for Units 1-4 for Compliance with BAT Conclusions programme.
• December 2020. KSM Zeman produced discharge electrodes for a Lafarge Cement S.A. facility (Kujawy Cement Works).

2019

Capwatt, Mangualde (Portugal): installing the pressure part of a biomass boiler. K+S Kali, Unterbrezbach (Germany): installing a steel structure, assembling a gas-fired boiler together with internal pipelines, process pipelines, air ducts and flue gas ducts. Replacing a complete set of water supply pumps and gas turbine ducts. Aurubis, Hamburg (Germany): renovating a boiler, which included replacing the combustion chamber walls, collectors and sealing boxes. Swiss Krono, Heiligengrabe (Germany): renovating a boiler, which included replacing the economizer coils. Western Wood, Port Talbot (UK): replacing boiler collectors and an economizer EfW. Dundeeb: installing process pipelines for a waste incineration plant. Częstochowa Coking Plant (Poland): carrying out all the work related to installation of two complete gas-fired boilers with auxiliary equipment. EC Czechowice (Poland): renovating the pressure part of a boiler at EC II heat and power generating plant in Czechowice-Dziedzice. JG Pears, Newark (UK): replacing the membrane walls of a boiler, including inconel 625 hardfacing. Shotton (UK): renovating a boiler, replacing the membrane walls of the boiler, replacing the superheater coils. 

2018

DSM Sisseln, Szwajcaria – installing a biomass boiler. The scope of the work includes assembling the pressure part of the boiler, the process pipelines, the combustion system, the flue gas cleaning part and the ash and slag removal system. The weight of the parts installed in the project was approx. 1 100 tonnes. Kraków, Poland- assembly/installation of a steel structure; installation of complete fresh steam pipelines with drains; installation of complete pipelines for blast furnace gas and coke oven gas. Jaworzno, Poland – assembly/installation of complete pipelines, including the necessary ancillary equipment, for a firing system in a 910 MW power plant unit. Malkinia, Poland – insulating ventilation ducts (2500m2) (DN 450 – DN 1000), installation of a CO, CO2 utilisation unit. Trondheim,  Norway– insulating ventilation ducts (950m2) (DN 600 – DN 1000), installation of a CO, CO2 utilisation unit. Bridgent, England – insulating ventilation ducts (1070m2) (DN 450 – DN 1000), installation of a CO, CO2 utilisation unit, insulation of a bag filter made of corrugated metal sheets (350m2). 2017

Rybnik, EC Jankowice, Poland – removing old and installing new electrostatic precipitators, the weight of the parts was 173 tonnes. Mannheim, DSM, Germany – replacing the grate, membranę walls, boiler economiser piping and air and flue gas ducts in a biomass boiler. Kraków, Poland – assembly/installation of a steel structure; installation of complete fresh steam pipelines with drains; installation of complete pipelines for blast furnace gas and coke oven gas. Bogatynia, Elektrownia Turów, Poland – removing old and installing new pipelines for separators and connection pipelines for a boiler. Cuxhaven, Siemens Windenergie, Germany – installing ventilation ducts in wind turbine assembly halls. Mannheim, Gluckstein, Germany – installing plumbing systems in a project involving the construction four black of flats. Heligengrabe, Kronospan, Germany – replacing the heater and membrane walls in a biomass boiler. Akuo Novillars, France – for a stoker-fired biomass boiler, installing an air supply system and an flue gas cleaning part and the ash and slag removal systems, as well as installation of stainless steel pipelines. Adjustments to the designs during and after the start-up of the boiler were also made. The weight of the parts installed in the project was approx.. 600 tonnes. Rest – around 15 short-term contracts – repairs, modernization, on the premises of plants in Poland and Germany.

2016

Szczecin, Poland – producting four-gas fired boilers. The scope of the work included assembling the pressure part of the boilers and expanding tubes (by rolling) into the drum. The weight of the parts installed by us was approx..4 x 480 tonnes. Jastrzębie-Zdrój, Poland – installing a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) hard coal boiler. The scope of the work included assembling the pressure part of the boiler, the process pipelines, the combustion system, the flue gas cleaning part and the ash and slag removal system. The weight of the parts installed in the project was approx.. 2,900 tonnes. Burgkirchen, Germany – renovation of an exhaust gas boiler after a gas turbine. The scope of the work included replacement of the evaporator, part of the flue gas duct, the mixing chamber, throttles and gas burners together with the binding, and of pressure pipelines. Tornesch, Germany – replacement of a combustion air heater and alteration of drainage pipelines. Philipstahl, Germany – replacement of steam heaters and alteration of pipelines connecting the heaters in a gas-fired boiler. Zeitz, Germany – renovation of gas and oil burners, including the stations and piping. Bełchatów, Poland – renovation of secondary-air ducts for a lignite-fired boiler (boiler 10). Speyside, Scotland – installing a stoker-fired biomass boiler. The scope of the work included assembling the pressure part of boiler, the combustion system, the process pipelines, the flue gas cleaning part of the ash and slag removal system. Adjustments to the designs during and after the start-up of the boiler were also made. The weight of the parts installed in the project was approx. 1,600 tonnes. 2015

The scope of the work included assembling the pressure part of boiler, the combustion system, the process pipelines, the flue gas cleaning part of the ash and slag removal system. Adjustments to the designs during and after the start-up of the boiler were also made. The weight of the parts installed in the project was approx. 1,600 tonnes. Czechowice- Dziedzice, Polska – repair of the pressure part of the boiler OF 230 in  EC2 in Czechowice Dziedzice. Flensburg, Germany – The assembly of gas-fired boiler of the thermal power of 75 MW and electrical power of 65MW. The scope of deliveries included the assembly of the pressure part of the boiler. Rest – around 20 short-term contracts – repairs, modernization, on the premises of plants in Poland and Germany.

2014

Annweiler, Germany – The repair of the steam boiler of the capacity of 65 t/h, at the Kartonfabrik Buchmann plant. The scope of deliveries included the replacement of superheater coils, economizer coils, boiler membrane walls, combustion system and fresh air system. Sisseln, Switzerland – The assembly of gas-fired steam boiler of the capacity of 15 t/h at the DSM Sisseln Terra Plant. The scope of deliveries – the assembly of the pressure part, combustion system, gas and oil burners, airflow ducts, flues and technological piping. Antwerp, Belgium – The assembly of two gas-fired steam boilers of the capacity of 70.3 t/h each at the Bayer Antwerpen Plant. The scope of deliveries – the assembly of the pressure part, combustion system, gas burners, airflow ducts, flues and a stack. Vienna, Austria – The assembly of two gas-fired water heaters of total power of 170 MW at the Fernwarme Wien Plant. The scope of deliveries – the assembly of the pressure part, combustion system, gas and oil burners, airflow ducts and flues. The weight of pressure elements 575 tons, the weight of airflow ducts and flues 120 tons.
